Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to everyone. Remember it is Jesus birthday and remember the gift he gave us (eternal life). Have fun and enjoy yourselves. I will be sleeping after a long night at work. Quote of the Day: If you’re looking for friends when you need them…it’s too late. --Mark Twain Luke 2:16-20 “So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Copyright (C) . Update on my right eye

I went to the Eye doctor on December 17, 2010 for a follow-up. As I reported on my Twitter account, the Xalatan is working and the pressure in my right is has dropped from 29 to 16.

Merry Christmas Week

It is almost Christmas! That is the good news as we celebrate our Lord, Jesus, birthday. The bad news is a work all the way to Christmas and not off until Christmas day at 7AM. Quote of the Day: An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered. --G.K. Chesterton Luke 1:76-78 “And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Website Updated for December 2010

My website has been updated for December 2010. Take a look. Bad News

Got some bad news today. First of all, I had my annual eye exam which was good, because it caught the pressure in my right eye which was 29 and the eye doctor has started me on glaucoma medication. No nerve damage and my left eye is completely normal. I go back in two weeks to get my pressure checked again to make sure the eye medication (Xalatan) is working. Favorite time of the year

This is my favorite time of the year. I have two this one from Thanksgiving to the Day after Christmas and the other time of the year that is my favorite is the last week in March until the second week in May. Hope everyone is looking forward to Thanksgiving. I know I am. Even though I will not be with all my family this year.

Website and Blog Page Updated!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my website and blog page have finally been updated. Quote of the Day: To create you must quiet your mind. You need a quiet mind so that ideas will have a chance of connecting. --Eric Maisil 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Glee

Image
I like watching Glee for the talent. I don’t always like the song selection like the Britney Spears or Madonna shows. But, I do like the cast and some of them have great voices. I like this duet that Finn and Rachel did on the last episode. Here is a Youtube of it. Glee snipnet from the episode “Duet.” Quote of the Day: Wherever you are -- be there. --Anonymous

Having a Shaw Family Reunion today

We are having a Shaw Family reunion today at my Aunt’s house today in Lakeland. Shaw side is my Grandmother’s side. Never had one on the Mitchell side before. No nothing of the Mitchell’s except my immediate family and what I have learned on the dead one’s while doing a little Genealogy. Will post some twitter and maybe some Youtube or Facebook stuff today from there. Quote of the Day: Wherever you are -- be there. --Anonymous Psalm 25:14-15 “The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Copyright (C) . All Rights Reserved.

Finally got around to this!

Well, I finally got around to downloading this from my video recorder. Here is a short video of my Mom and Me at the musical Wicked! This is pre opening and shot from our nose bleed seats. We had a good time though. After my Mom stopped thinking we would fall. Quote of the Day: I was so hungry I could have eaten a horse. But only pigs were available. --Anonymous

Complaining Neighbor

My Neighbor always complains and has reported me to Animal Control a couple of times because my dogs back in my own back yard in the day time. At night they are in the house. However, I bought a bark collar for them and they rarely are not wearing them when outside because of him. He even accused my dogs of running the neighborhood which that one is a blatant lie. However, it is ok for his dog.Which he says does not bark and does. To roam the neighborhood. Here is his dog who just walked through the front of my yard into my other neighbors yard. Quote of the Day: I was so hungry I could have eaten a horse. But only pigs were available. --Anonymous

One of my main men!

Image
One of my main men/bud getting ready to go shopping with his Grandmother! I love this little guy to death. He is a blessing from the Lord and smart as a whip. Quote of the Day: Sharing money is what gives it its value. --Elvis Presley, singer Proverbs 19:20-21 “Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise. What has happened to Customer Service?

I got my haircut today at a new place. I was scared to death to say anything. I thought that I would be bald by the time I left there. I will not be back. I spent $13.45 for a terrible haircut. That is why I do not like women cutting my hair. What happened to a regular haircut, above the ears squared back? I knew I was in trouble when she asked me what number of guard do they use on my hair. I don’t know I never asked and never told I had too. I just thought you said “regular haircut, above the ears and square back.” Quote of the Day: Gambling: The sure way of getting nothing for something. --Wilson Mizner Proverbs 27:1 “ Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Nothing much new

Been working a lot lately. Hopefully I will get to update my website this weekend. If not this weekend maybe next. Hope everyone is doing great!

Sorry I haven’t blogged in a log time.

Sorry I haven’t blogged in a log time. Been kind of busy with work. Never did I think retiring from one job and starting a new one in a new field would be so exhausting. Well, I am finally learning Microsoft Expressions Web. So, I am slowly and surely getting my old website back up into a new design and feel. It is still a work in progress and would like to know what you think of it. So, please stop by and take a look and let me know how it is going ( https://mlm361.micro.blog ). Now about Facebook. I am thinking of quitting it. Nobody really contacts me on there. And all my old friends don’t seem interested in contacting me. So, it is just a thought. As far as work is going I am on nights again. However, I have a schedule I really like. I work Monday night through Friday night and have Saturday and Sunday night off. My hours are pretty good too. In fact, they just changed last week and I really like the new hours 10PM-6:30 AM. I sleep pretty good, except when there is noise around...

The Lord Blesses

The Lord Blesses his people. The people of the South united in Prayer and the Lord answered by keeping the oil away from our seafood. He wants his people to be able to enjoy his creations he gave to sustain us.

Independence Day

Happy 4th of July to everyone! Remember Independence equals Freedom. Our fore fathers would love how their simple ideas have lasted. Just not sure they would approve of all the implementations of Our Constitution. Starting New Shift Monday

Monday I start a new shift at work. I will be working permanent midnight shift 11P-7:30A. This means more money a plus, means I am working midnights again a neutral and I will have every weekend off. This is another plus. Other than that nothing much new. Except that I have been reading and listening to more audio books. I have also been listening to an excellent Pastor, Dr. David Jeremiah. I recommend everyone listen to him. I wish he had a Church hear in Brandon or Tampa. Well that is it for now. Hope everyone is doing great. Also, stop by and take a look at my website. I think it is coming along nicely. Let me know what you think and remember you can read my blog or my twitter page. Also, family and friends who know my cell phone can text me or tweet me to contact me. Take care all. Quote of the Day: I was so hungry I could have eaten a horse. But only pigs were available. --Anonymous Leviticus 19:18 “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your peop...

Been sick

Have been sick the last three days. Had to call out from work the last two. Not 100% but about 85-90%. Will be back at work tomorrow.

Still working on the website

Well, I hope people stop by and liked how the redesign is going. I am almost done with it. Still may be a couple of months. I love technology. However, I hate having to use so many different programs for different things. This has been my second weekend off in a month. I can’t believe I have had two weekends off in one month. Next month looks to be the same. Also, I will start a new position at Moffitt at the end of June or the beginning of July. It will require me to work midnights again. But, I thought I would mind. But, I don’t. It means more money, not actually a pay raise but shift differential. This should add about 10000 in yearly income, at least I hope. Second, I will be working basically a Monday through Friday shift. I will be off every Saturday and Sunday night. I am looking forward to it. I work on Monday, Memorial Day. But, that is ok. I will be getting time and a half. Also, I downloaded the new official, not beta, version of Microsoft Office 2010. I like it. It is w...

Well I have finally updated my website.

I finally updated my website. Not a huge update but did add a photo gallery and clean a couple of things up. Also, added a new radio program. Hope everyone enjoys. As far as everything else. I finally have a whole weekend off. This day is almost over and I wish it would slow way down. I also watched Australia DVD today. Not bad. A little long. I give it four out of five stars. Oh and yea I am officially down under 220 according to my scale. Not sure what the doctor’s scale would show. Since there is a difference. But, I am happy. Quote of the Day: For greed, all nature is too little. --Seneca, Roman statesman and author Ecclesiastes 11:5 “As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Well, Thanks to all those that said “Drill Baby, Drill”

I am a Republican and I am an American. However, I have always said this Country needs to be off oil. It should have been off of it years ago. I don’t like these oil rigs. Let’s do more electric, spend more on algae and hydrogen research.

Nothing really new

I am still alive. Losing weight and working. I have also been wanting to write a piece on politics. But, before I do that I need to work on my website. If I ever get a couple of days off back to back. I just might be able to. I have been listening to Dr. David Jeremiah and his series on Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven. Let me tell you I can’t wait to reach Heaven.  Also, I have just finished a great book called One Minute After You Die by Erwin Lutzer. It’s a great book and a short read. Will blog more when I have more time. Take care. Also, I find myself twittering more than blogging lately. My Twitter is MLM361 so if you Twitter send me a follow request. Quote of the Day: If misery loves company, misery has company enough. --Henry David Thoreau Romans 1:20 “For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse...

Back to work

Work was work. It was an ok day for my first day back. However, the pollen laden air is giving me a headache.

It’s over

Well my vacation comes to an end today. Tomorrow I am back to work. I hate that it was so short. I turned 41 over my vacation. Did a lot of stuff I had been putting off. Except for working on my website. That is going to be a top priority the next two months. Well, I hope everyone is doing great. Henry, my dog, is doing great. So, is Taco, my other dog. The neighbor is a pain and the rest of my family is also doing good. That’s it for now. Quote of the Day: Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life. --Terry Pratchett Romans 5:10 “For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Neighbors

Why is it you can have one good neighbor on one side of you and in back of you and a very bad and annoying baby crier of a neighbor on the other side of your house. Had to finally tell that pesky noisy neighbor to stay off our property and complain to whoever he needs too about our dogs barking. Even though 2 of the 4 haven’t been barking. Since I put a bark collar on them when he complained the other day. Know he says they are still barking and they haven’t been and now it is the other two dogs. He can’t make up his mind. But, his dog can come over to our yard and into our garage and pee in it. Had to tell him about the pictures I have of his dog on our property and he told me to get off his property. People should remember that when they through the first stone (figuratively, not literally) they should not be surprised when someone throws one back.  Quote of the Day: Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself. --Anonymous...

My official weight

My official weight loss was 14 pounds in two months. That is probably low because my appointment was the last one of the day. But, I will take it and the doctor said “good job.” Isaiah 53:3-4 “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Copyright (C) . Well its almost over

The day is almost over. 330 PM and I am on vacation. Do have to go to the doctor’s for a follow-up. I will get the official amount that I have lost in weight.

I think this group is better than the Pro’s

Image
I think this group is better than the pros that recently came together and performed. Most of these people in this video are amateurs. A couple are semi-pro. Enjoy! Jeremiah 17:7–8 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. Two Weeks until V Day

I have approximate two weeks until my vacation. I can’t wait. I want that time to go very very very slow. Will be working on the website then too. First couple days have some things to do off of my list. Then its free time. I am working all this weekend. But, at least I am back on day shift.

New Phone

Well, I renew my 2 year contract with Verizon Wireless. I got the Palm Pre Plus and love the thing. I have never owned a smart phone. I don’t know how I lived without one. I love this thing. Everyone should be it. Off of midnights now. I have a couple days off and it’s back to the day shift on Friday. That’s all for now. Take care everyone.   Quote of the Day: The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything --Anonymous Psalm 23:1-3 “[A psalm of David.] The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Just Getting by!

Hello everyone. My eye is better. I have lost 24 pounds since the beginning of the year. I have a job and getting paid. So life is going ok. I have been on midnights this past week and will continue to be on midnights until next Friday. I have two weeks and I am on vacation. I hopefully will get to work on my website while I am on vacation. I should say I will be on staycation because I am not going anywhere due to lack of funds. Otherwise, I would head up to Tennessee. Hope everyone is well and will talk later. Oh and by the way. I upgraded my phone. I am getting the new Palm Pre Plus from Verizon. Will let you know how it is. Quote of the Day: False freedom leaves a man free to do what he likes; true freedom, to do what he ought. --Anonymous Romans 8:28 “[More Than Conquerors] And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com...

My Eye My Eye!

Image
I came back from lunch and a co-worker asked why my eye was bleeding. I thought he was kidding. I went to the mirror and sure enough my right eye looks like it busted several eye blood vessels. I don’t know how it happened. It doesn’t hurt. I can see fine. Just looks gross. I hate getting older……   Proverbs 14:22 “Do not those who plot evil go astray? Still living

Hello everyone I am still living. Just been working a crazy schedule this past couple of weeks. Also, been going to the doctors a lot. Trying to catch up from the year I didn’t have insurance. Will have a lot more to say tomorrow. Take care.

This day went by fast

My first of two days off went by fast. I had a teeth cleaning done today and then went to the dermatologist. He cut off a suspicious mole from the bottom of my right foot. One of these days I will get to work more on my new website. Not looking forward to going back to work on Thursday. As it starts a hectic four days. With the Zenith being my Friday which will actually be Sunday. I will work a double shift.   2 Thessalonians 1:3 “[Thanksgiving and Prayer] We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Off to work I go

Well, I getting ready to hit the road. I have been working way too much lately. I do have a couple of days off this week. Hopefully, more time to work on the new website. Blind Date

You might have noticed my post before the update on my website. I went on a blind date. She was nice. However, we did not connect. We really do not have that much in common. Quote of the Day: Bureaucracy defends the status quo long past the time when the quo has lost its status. --Dr. Laurence J. Peter

Still working on the new website

I am still working on the new website. It is going slow as I am learning a lot of new things. Also, you may have noticed that I have updated my blog. Blogger it seems is discontinuing the ftp service. So, I moved it over to a custom BlogSpot space. I have a lot more flexibility. However, I lose some control. I may add a new blog to the redesign. I have to keep learning about this new program I now am using. Eventually, I think this new software, Microsoft Expressions Web 3 to be more flexible.   Psalm 59:16 “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . New Cell phone?

I think I might upgrade to the Verizon Wireless Palm Pre Plus this year. It looks like a great phone. I thought about the Motorola Droid. But, I like that Palm Pre better.

Cold weather

I don't know about all this global warming. It is the coldest I remember for sometime. Just wish I could see some snow. I finally have a new website program on the way. However, it will still be sometime before I update the website. I have to learn this new program. So, hopefully by June or July of this year it will be updated. Between work and everything else. I will have to find some time to read the books with this software and actually use it. Quote of the Day: To cease smoking is the easiest thing. I ought to know. I've done it a thousand times. --Mark Twain   Matthew 6:19-21 [Treasures in Heaven] "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
