Christmas Eve

Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of Jesus the Universe’s only true King. I can not help but reflect on what happened to me this week. I have been talking to a lady at work. She is a Jehovah Witness. They actually believe that Jesus is the son of God an actual son not God become human. They also believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers. I almost fell on my knees and cried with that statement. Jesus and Satan are not even in the same league. It amazes me how Satan can deceive people. Please pray for her and all the Jehovah Witnesses. This occult needs to not exist. Luke 2:16-20 “So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had hea...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! This is kind of a bitter sweet one for me. This will be the first since my little buddy Henry passed away. I still hurt even after two weeks without him. He was such a loyal little guy. So, I just wanted to tell everyone to enjoy their Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for. I know most importantly I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, my family and friends. So enjoy the day be thankful. Oh and by the way, I am in the last week of classes. So next weekend I am updating the website. No major revisions just minor ones. So stop by in a couple of weeks and check it out. My Beloved Henry Mitchell is Gone!

Image
My loyal faithful dog Henry died today at approximately 11:00 AM. Henry had been in pain for the last six months, so today he is no longer in pain. I will greatly miss him he has been with me almost 15 years. His birthday would have been December 8. Colossians 1:9 “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Copyright (C) . Dec 2, 2011 fast approaching

Cannot wait for this date. It will be the date I am finally finished with my first semester back. I have neglected a lot of things the last few months between work and school. But, it has paid off. I have A’s in both classes so far. Although, I think my ultimate score in English Composition 2 will be a B. Well back to reading about Nuclear Power in Environmental Science. I know it has been a long time since I updated my website. But, hopefully by the end of the month I can get to it. I just have been very busy with work and classes. Hopefully, next weekend I will finally have some time. I have a four day weekend next week. Hope everyone is doing great! Work?

Don't want to go to work today. Long week ahead....

What’s been happening?

What’s been happening lately? Well, a lot. I have been busy at work and college. I am only taking two classes this semester. But, it feels like a second job. I am constantly doing something for my English class and trying to squeeze in my Environmental Science class. I was going to take three classes. But, when I saw the workload for my conversational sociology class I had to drop it. There was no way I could have kept up in that class. Well I hope everyone is doing great and enjoying there Labor Day. I am off and working on class stuff. I also took tomorrow off to finish my class stuff and to go to for an ultrasound tomorrow. Not looking forward to going back to work on Wednesday. Quote of the Day: It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native criminal class except Congress --Mark Twain Matthew 28:18-20 “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,...

Learning

Been up to reading and studying my Bible more and more each day. Just but the Word of the Promise (NKJV) read aloud which is a great way to supplement learning the Bible. Hope everyone is doing great. Been working a lot lately and studying. Classes are going to start for me on August 22, 2011. I think. Let’s hope so. Depends on funding from work. Quote of the Day: I do not agree with a word that you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. --Voltaire John 1:12-13 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . End of an Era

With the launch of the last shuttle today it is an end to an era. I remember when I was a teenager seeing them test the Enterprise and then launching all the shuttles. I never got to go see a shuttle launch in person. However, from Tampa on many occasion I could step outside and it was just a few minutes and I could see the launch from where I lived. I can truly say I lived and witnessed the whole shuttle era. Through all the high points and the two low points. I disagree with the decision to discontinue the shuttle program. But, what is done is done. I look forward to witnessing the birth of the next program. Quote of the Day: Nothing is too high for a man to reach, but he must climb with care and confidence. --Hans Christian Andersen Psalm 138:2 “I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Political System

Our political system needs major reform. I can not believe we let these politicians get away with almost literally murder. Work, Work and more work

That is all that I seem to do nowadays. I thought when I left one job, via retiring and took another I would be working less. Not so. Only one good thing has happened. Once, I am done for the day. I am done. Don’t have to be worried about being called in or coming in on my day off. Speaking of which, I have a 3 day weekend coming up in the two weeks. Hope everyone is doing great. Will blog more later in the month. Quote of the Day: The depth and the willingness with which we serve is a direct reflection of our gratitude. --Gordon T. Looking forward to the next two weeks

Looking forward to the next two weeks to be over. Then I start my much need time off. Not going anywhere other than maybe to Inverness to check on that piece of property and put it up for sale. Other than that nothing new going on. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row so that I may be able to start USF on time and hopefully get my company to pay for it. Hope everyone is doing great! Looking forward to my staycation

Well, it’s almost here. I finally get to take some much needed time off. I am so looking forward to April 1st. But, next week will be trying. I work six days in a row next week. But, at least one will be all much needed overtime. Remembering August 31, 2005

Image
This was my first trip and first look at my now owned property in Paris, Tennessee. The video is really about an 1 hour long. However, this is the first 13 minutes. This was also my first time using this video camera. I just learned how to import the video into my computer and was quite amazed how easy it was importing it. The dogs being lazy video

Here is the video I told about in the last post. I thought it was funny this morning. Dogs being lazy!

A great day!

Today has been a great day for me. I have gotten a lot done and the weather has been amazing. I even caught the dogs being lazy today. I took a video of them. I will post it up next. Update on 2011

So far 2011 has not been what I expected. It has been very bad financially mostly. I feel the brink my come this year. On a brighter note for this year, I have cleared a lot of junk out of my life and house. Quote of the Day: Behavior is a mirror in which every one displays his own image. --Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe Philippians 2:14-16 “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com . Copyright (C) . All Rights Reserved.

Welcome 2011

Well, it is another year. I pray this one is a lot better than last year. I was reflecting last night how if I was still in law enforcement, I would have only 4 years to go to full retirement. However, I don’t know if I would have lived longer than 5 years after that. I would probably be about 250 to 260 pounds. Plus have full blown diabetes and still probably would have had glaucoma in my right eye. On top of that the citizens of Hillsborough County would have drove me nuts. I am thankful to the Lord for telling me to leave when I did. I have pre-diabetes. Still have glaucoma in my right eye and have lost 26 pounds in the last year. I did it slowly over the course of the year and I am maintaining my weight. I plan on talking to my doctor again and see if I can go back on the Phenteramine. I seem to hold my weight once I lose it thanks to the those pills. I am hoping to pay down more debt this year. I am hoping. I pray that the Lord will give me enough of a pay raise to help accompli...
